Our 1963 Chev 1/2 ton is not bad in the snow. If you put logs in the back for weight it can push through very deep snow. If you try to stop on wet snow or ice, it just doesn’t at least not easily

Winter is a quieter time but still produces lots of food for our table Under cover in the fields are both lettuce and kale. Both seem sweeter then a summer crop. May not be true but……….sure seems so.

The garlic is up a bit and the great thing is they all have a big root system just waiting for spring. The straw is keeping them from freezing and thawing a lot. Plus it keeps the weeds down.

The flowers are all finished for the season except for the strawflowers that are dried and standing alone in the snow.
